From deposit to treasure chest

The cars that Pietro Cozzi collected throughout the years, were already stored in a private deposit area underneath the car dealer. The dream of the Cozzi family was to create a treasure chest able to enhance precious objects and to find someone who could carry out the project that had been in the founder’s head for quite some time, managing to convey emotions. After meeting two architects, Oscar and Gabriele Buratti, the answer was clear.

Down to the last detail

Gabriele and Oscar Buratti have taken care of every single detail, just like they always do with their work. They designed both the architecture of the spaces and that of the furniture. They also created the logo and the graphics of the museum.

Three colours, three callings

Three colours, three concepts, three different spaces, all connected.
The colour white enhances the expositive calling of the showroom; strong architectural shapes and simple volumes make it stand out of the urban texture with its attractive rational and bright spaces.
Red, psychedelic and unexpected, is the time-space machine that leaves rationality behind and brings the visitor into the land of emotions; it makes promises and turns on expectations.
Black underlines the underground and introvert setting of the museum and also “allows the displayed objects to stand out and become protagonists, to suggest the image of a protected treasure chest that is destined to welcome precious objects”.

The temple of collectors

Three naves divided by columns where cars, divided into sedans, coupés and spiders, leave behind the stillness of the museum and bring you back on the road, as the centerlines drawn on the ground suggest. The great bright Alfa Romeo sign in the entrance and the historical videos that run on the back wall remind us of the glorious days of the Arese factory.

“Accuracy is very important, starting from the general idea, down to the smallest detail, in order to find the right balance between strength and delicacy, feature and emotion, poetry and prose, where beauty is the extreme synthesis”
