Museimpresa LAB goes to school

25 April, 2018

The Fratelli Cozzi Museum presents Museimpresa LAB, the project that will feature students as part of the school-to-work alternation. During the "Week for Teens," teens will create a calendar of initiatives dedicated to the very young.

As many of you already know, the Cozzi Brothers Museum is driven by three engines that propel it through a journey where PASSION, EVENTS AND CULTURE, coexist and feed off each other.

Joining Museimpresa was, without a doubt, a fuel capable of giving us great momentum in co-designing school-to-work alternation paths. Students from local schools will be involved in the school-to-work alternation included in the national framework of Enterprise Culture Week.

MUSEIMPRESA

The Associazione Italiana Archivi e Musei d'Impresa was founded in Milan in 2001 on the initiative of Assolombarda and Confindustria. Museimpresa is a unique network at the European level and brings together about 70 museums and archives of large, medium and small Italian companies: an extraordinary heritage and a unique tale of Italian manufacturing and entrepreneurial history. From Barilla Museum, to Pirelli, Campari, Kartell, Branca Foundation, Benetton, Alessi, Olivetti, Ferragamo, Ducati, Bracco, to name a few.
With its many activities, Museimpresa aims to promote corporate cultural policy, enhance the value of corporate archives and museums, and encourage the dissemination of knowledge and research in the fields of museology and business archives.

In order to follow up on the many requests that are coming from all Italian schools to enterprise museums, the Association has defined a dedicated proposal in order to structure a path of value for all involved: the Museimpresa LAB Project.

THE PROJECT.

The project involves the design and implementation of a student-led museum/archive visit aimed at teenagers to be held during Corporate Culture Week (in November) with the creation of a "Week for Teens" calendar of initiatives.

This is a project that can be part of the school-to-work alternation activities that will involve an entire class with the ultimate goal of having students realize a new museum visit that goes beyond the canons of the classic guided tour.

The children will be supervised by a museum tutor who will always be available to assist them, but they can fully express their creativity in creating the format of the guided tour.

"If you want to build a ship, don't gather men just to gather wood and distribute tasks, but teach them nostalgia for the wide and endless sea."

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
