Inizia cos\u00ec la <em>lectio magistralis<\/em> di <strong>Ettore Grechi<\/strong>, il \u201cmatemeccanico\u201d (per chi avesse perso la puntata precedente, <strong>Grechi<\/strong> \u00e8 laureato in matematica. <em>Ndr<\/em>), e continua sostenendo che la meccanica \u00e8 pura matematica, con dei numeri che nel caso di un\u2019<strong>Alfa Romeo<\/strong> prendono forma. Diciamo che la <\/span><strong>Junior 1300 Zagato<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> rappresenta per il progetto <\/span><strong>105<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, cio\u00e8 la <\/span><strong>Giulia<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, quello che la mitica <\/span><strong>SZ<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> ha rappresentato per la <\/span><strong>Giulietta<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Al di l\u00e0 del modello, molte persone quando vedono che il radiatore dell\u2019acqua non perde e, aprendo il tappo, vedono il livello giusto pensano sia sano, mentre spesso sono i tubicini interni che si tappano per colpa del calcare, impedendo al liquido di circolare liberamente quindi impedendo il raffreddamento. Ai primi segni di surriscaldamento, con tutto quello che ne pu\u00f2 conseguire, consiglio di cambiare il termostato che \u00e8 l\u2019operazione pi\u00f9 economica, e se il problema rimane cambiare il radiatore, per evitare danni pi\u00f9 gravi come bruciare la guarnizione della testa e cos\u00ec via. Per cui mai valutare il radiatore solo dall\u2019aspetto esteriore perch\u00e9 non vuol dire che se non perde \u00e8 a posto, ma al suo interno non \u00e8 detto che passi l\u2019acqua. Era una sfida titanica, ma sapeva che doveva essere realizzata. La nascita di questa meraviglia \u00e8 un racconto di visionari e sognatori\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In\u202f<\/span><strong>Alfa Romeo<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, il presidente <\/span><strong>Giovanni Luraghi<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> aveva individuato uno spazio \u2013 in una gamma che comprendeva\u202f<\/span><strong>Giulia Super,\u202fSpider\u202fe\u202fGT Junior<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>\u202f<\/strong>\u2013 per una <\/span><strong>GT originale<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, compatta e sportiva. Per migliorare sia le prestazioni sia la manovrabilit\u00e0, aveva bisogno di un design compatto e aerodinamico e una costruzione leggera, combinati con una carrozzeria rigida. Infine, lo stile doveva essere abbastanza originale da differenziarla dalla <\/span><strong>Spider<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> progettata da <\/span><strong>Pininfarina<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> e dalla <\/span><strong>GT Junior<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> disegnata da <\/span><strong>Bertone<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0 Fu cos\u00ec che al <\/span><em><strong>Salone dell\u2019Automobile di Torino<\/strong><\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> del 1967, <\/span><strong>Luraghi<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> incontr\u00f2 <\/span><strong>Gianni<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> ed <\/span><strong>Elio Zagato<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> e furono concordati i principi alla base del nuovo veicolo. Anche se all\u2019epoca lo stile fu considerato un po\u2019 controverso, la <\/span><strong>Casa di Arese<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> rivolse l\u2019auto a un segmento di mercato giovane e relativamente benestante, interessato ad auto sportive ed eleganti.\u202fDal punto di vista tecnico non c\u2019era nulla di nuovo da vedere. Sfruttando i componenti di produzione della <\/span><strong>Serie 105 <\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">dell\u2019<\/span><strong>Alfa Romeo<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, la <\/span><strong>Junior Zagato<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> condivideva il pianale (accorciato), la trasmissione e l\u2019assetto con la<\/span><strong> Giulia Spider Junior<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>.<\/strong>\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Il design di <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Spada<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> racchiuse queste collaudate basi in una forma avanzata ed elegante con un occhio di riguardo al livello di dettaglio che il designer dedic\u00f2 alle caratteristiche aerodinamiche di questa vettura.\u202fNon c\u2019erano cromature ricercate o dettagli superflui da vedere \u2013 comuni in tutti gli altri modelli della stessa epoca \u2013 ma invece linee nette e un paraurti ridotto ai minimi termini. Anche l\u2019interno era relativamente spazioso, con il rivestimento della console in alluminio lucidato dove trovava posto la base della leva del cambio montata quasi nella parte superiore del mobiletto centrale, mentre i pedali erano incernierati sul pavimento. Dietro il conducente e il passeggero trovava posto un\u2019area di stivaggio piatta che forniva spazio per i bagagli pi\u00f9 che adeguato.\u202fPrivo di cromature e stemmi, il design esterno era cos\u00ec coinvolgente che lo stilista <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Yves Saint Laurent<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> inser\u00ec una <\/span><strong>Junior<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in una delle sue pubblicit\u00e0 stampate sui rotocalchi. L\u2019utile portellone posteriore, completamente in vetro, si apriva a mano per dare accesso al piccolo baule, ma un interruttore sul cruscotto permetteva al conducente di sollevare elettricamente il lunotto solo di pochi centimetri per migliorare la ventilazione interna.\u202fLa carrozzeria elegante e la maneggevolezza sportiva hanno reso la<\/span><strong> Junior Zagato<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> un oggetto del desiderio automobilistico nonostante il suo motore di soli 1300 cc.\u202fAbbondavano altri dettagli intelligenti sulla gestione dell\u2019aria.\u202fPer ridurre la resistenza frontale, l\u2019aggressivo muso fu ricoperto da plexiglass trasparente.\u202fLe uniche aperture erano un ritaglio per il radiatore, sapientemente modellato come lo scudo dell\u2019<\/span><strong>Alfa Romeo<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, e una serie di fessure verticali per la presa d\u2019aria del carburatore.\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Inoltre, la sezione centrale del cofano motore si sollevava come per un effetto origami verso il parabrezza e, sul lato del conducente, una conformazione particolare dirigeva il flusso d\u2019aria e consentiva al braccio del tergicristallo di muoversi senza resistenze.\u202fDal muso alla coda, i contorni morbidi e le linee di design seguivano la linea di cintura dell\u2019auto, riducendo la resistenza al vento e il rumore.\u202fTutte queste caratteristiche aerodinamiche davano come risultato un coefficiente di resistenza aerodinamica di 0,29, davvero impressionante per un\u2019auto stradale progettata quasi 60 anni fa.\u202fSebbene il motore, la trasmissione, le sospensioni e i freni fossero rigorosamente <\/span><strong>Alfa<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, questi componenti funzionavano meglio sulla <\/span><strong>Zagato<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> grazie alla leggerezza dell\u2019auto, alla rigidit\u00e0 strutturale e alla fluidit\u00e0 della forma rispetto alle \u201csorelle\u201d che avevano \u201cdonato\u201d i loro meccanismi.\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_2,1_2&#8243;
