Se guardi bene, l\u00ec in fondo alla strada, c\u2019\u00e8 una spider gialla che sta varcando le porte della Concessionaria Fratelli Cozzi. Se sei un appassionato sai gi\u00e0 di cosa, anzi di chi, stiamo parlando: dell\u2019<strong>Alfa Romeo RZ, la \u201cgiallona\u201d della nostra collezione<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Accolta con tutti gli onori, la RZ sembrava destinata in quegli anni a fare faville in concessionaria. Ma ci fu qualcosa che nel 1995 non si poteva del tutto immaginare: <strong>il suo look &#8220;Zagato Style&#8221;<\/strong>, cos\u00ec futuristico e dall\u2019aria un po\u2019 Manga, non piacque a tutti, anzi. Certo era anche molto costosa&#8230; Cos\u00ec, invece di solcare le strade dell\u2019Altomilanese, con alla guida un Cliente Alfista, la RZ si ritrov\u00f2 a essere invenduta, perci\u00f2 \u201cmessa l\u00ec\u201d, come era solito dire Pietro Cozzi.<\/p>\n<p>Oggi, con solo 4.000 chilometri all&#8217;attivo, questa piccola meraviglia \u00e8 diventata una vera e propria icona nel Museo. border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\" xml:lang=\"IT-IT\" lang=\"IT-IT\" class=\"TextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">\u00c8 la numero 106<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> e quando varc\u00f2 le porte della Concessionaria Alfa Romeo dei Fratelli Cozzi, nel febbraio del 1995, Pietro Cozzi l\u2019accolse con gli onori che meritano a una vettura <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">di tale lignaggio. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">Versione spider<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> della SZ a sua volta carrozzata da Zagato, meccanica di derivazione 75 che significava motore anteriore e trazione posteriore <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">Transaxle<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> che garantiva una ideale ripartizione dei pesi,<strong> la RZ sulla carta aveva i numeri per far fare dei buoni affari alla Concessionaria.<\/strong> <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">Di sicuro<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> non costava poco, 110milioni di lire erano una cifra importante per quegli anni<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">,<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> e poi <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">quel<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> colore che non la faceva certo passare inosservata<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">, anzi nelle vetrine era come un faro acceso, impossibile da non vedere. <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun ContextualSpellingAndGrammarErrorV2Themed SCXW32584190 BCX8\">Infine<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> la tiratura limitata in 350 pezzi, gi\u00e0 prevista in fase di progetto, la collocavano nel club delle vetture esclusive da contendersi fra appassionati.<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> O almeno queste erano le previsioni <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">della Casa di Arese, che non tennero conto che<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> questa vettura<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\"> a non a tutti piaceva, non tanto di meccanica ma per quella linea anomala, in verit\u00e0 molto \u201c<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">Zagato Style<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW32584190 BCX8\">\u201d: coda alta e frontale basso con linee molto tese. L\u2019antefatto:<strong> prima dell\u2019avvento dell\u2019elettronica<\/strong> che conosciamo oggi con antifurti immobilizzatori, sensori di movimento, tracciamento satellitare ecc. ecc., <strong>era normale installare degli antifurti meccanici<\/strong> (<em>ricordate l\u2019antifurto con le palle? Ndr<\/em>) o pi\u00f9 semplicemente dei \u201cprimitivi\u201d congegni che inibivano l\u2019accensione del motore. Gli elettrauti dell\u2019epoca dovevano ingegnarsi per contrastare le abilit\u00e0 dei ladri, in poche parole dovevano essere pi\u00f9 abili di loro nel nascondere l\u2019antifurto per garantirne il perfetto funzionamento. Cos\u00ec,<strong> anche sulla RZ fu montato un antifurto molto ben nascosto per evitare spiacevoli sparizioni.<\/strong> Questo antifurto aveva un piccolo interruttore montato vicino alla leva del cambio, sotto la cuffia in pelle, che andava messo in posizione \u201con\u201d per poter accendere il motore. Eliminate per esclusione (e verifica) tutte le cause del mancato avviamento e sottoposti a test gli eventuali guasti elettronici, l\u2019ultima possibilit\u00e0 era la presenza di un antifurto, s\u00ec ma dove? Come accennato prima <strong>gli elettrauti erano diventati dei maestri nel celare la presenza dei loro congegni,<\/strong> addirittura cablando i loro fili all\u2019interno delle guaine originali della macchina per poi andare a finire chiss\u00e0 dove. Il fine ultimo era quello di impedire a un ladro di lavorare \u201ctranquillamente\u201d e partire con la refurtiva. In questo caso il lavoro dell\u2019elettrauto era cos\u00ec ben fatto che il nostro Ettore ci ha lavorato per giornate intere senza arrivare a capo di nulla. Quando ormai anche Elisabetta Cozzi, la direttrice del Museo, si era rassegnata ad andare incontro a una spesa spropositata per rimettere in moto la RZ ecco il colpo di teatro.<strong> In occasione della Fiera Milano AutoClassica<\/strong>, nel novembre del 2023, si presenta allo stand di Profumo di Alfa e del Museo Cozzi un lettore in compagnia di un altro signore che vedendo le insegne del Museo esclama tutto orgoglioso: \u00ab<em>Io per il Pietro Cozzi ho lavorato tanto, ho preparato tante di quelle auto, facevo l\u2019elettrauto\u2026<\/em>\u00bb. Ed Ettore Grechi che era venuto a salutarci ha colto al volo l\u2019occasione esclamando ad alta voce: <em>\u00abAnche una RZ gialla?\u00bb. \u00abS\u00ec\u00bb<\/em>, alla risposta dall\u2019elettrauto i suoi occhi si illuminarono, <strong>era lui che aveva montato l\u2019antifurto<\/strong>. Era il 1989 e l\u2019Alfa Romeo era passata al Gruppo Fiat da tre anni ma ad Arese ancora non si sentivano pesantemente le scelte della multinazionale torinese, cos\u00ec la dirigenza decise di <strong>presentare in occasione del Salone dell\u2019Auto di Ginevra di quell\u2019anno un prototipo che rappresentasse il ruolo di vettura-manifesto della sportivit\u00e0 della Casa del Biscione oltre che di sperimentazione di soluzioni tecniche d\u2019avanguardia.<\/strong> Quel prototipo si chiamava ES 30 (Experimental Sports Car 3000. Ndr) e fu la base per avviare una produzione in serie, anche se su numeri ridotti di 1000 esemplari, <strong>usando per la prima volta il CAD<\/strong> (Computer Aided Design). Il disegno era della Carrozzeria Zagato che ottenne un Cx di 0,30, la base telaistica della 75 Gruppo A utilizzata nel Campionato Mondiale Velocit\u00e0 Turismo e per la carrozzeria prevedeva l\u2019uso di materiali sintetici come il \u201cModar\u201d, una resina metacrilica termoindurente, mentre per il tetto si era ricorsi all\u2019alluminio e alla fibra di carbonio per l\u2019alettone. Tre anni dopo la SZ fu affiancata nelle concessionarie dalla sorella spider, la RZ, che veniva assemblata direttamente dalla Zagato nello stabilimento di Terrazzano di Rho. Poche le modifiche erano pi\u00f9 che altro di ordine estetico, come la coda ridisegnata e pi\u00f9 voluminosa per consentire alla capote in tela di ripiegarsi e nascondersi in un alloggiamento dedicato, anche il parabrezza era pi\u00f9 basso rispetto alla SZ, solo 5 cm, ma sufficienti per non fare star comodo al volante chi superava i 180 cm di altezza perch\u00e9 facilmente toccava con la testa la capote. Dal punto di vista meccanico la RZ era uguale alla sorella, solo il comportamento stradale era un po\u2019 sottotono a causa del peso maggiore dovuto all\u2019irrigidimento del telaio (1380 kg) che spegnevano le velleit\u00e0 dell\u2019ottimo 2959 cc V6 che disponeva di 207 CV, e che portavano la RZ a una velocit\u00e0 massima di 230 km\/h, contro i 245 della SZ dotata dello stesso propulsore. Anche il cambio ci metteva la sua perch\u00e9 per entrambe l\u2019Alfa Romeo scelse una rapportatura lunga che privilegiava la velocit\u00e0 massima ma penalizzava la ripresa.
