Quest\u2019ultima, che include anche la costruzione di uno stabilimento ad-hoc a <strong>Pomigliano d\u2019Arco<\/strong> (localit\u00e0 non estranea all\u2019Alfa Romeo), rappresenta un prodotto di nuova concezione, entry-level della gamma, mentre l\u2019Alfetta entra a pieno titolo nella tradizione di tecnica e innovazione delle berline sportive.<\/p>\n<p>Oggi si parlerebbe di \u201cpiattaforme\u201d ed in effetti \u00e8 proprio cos\u00ec: il lay-out tecnico dell\u2019Alfetta sostituisce il pianale della Giulia. La nuova berlina arriva sul mercato nel 1972 <em>(foto 3.3)<\/em>, dopo una gestazione lunga e complessa dovuta alla messa a punto della sua, inedita ed esclusiva,<strong> architettura transaxle<\/strong>: cambio e frizione sul retrotreno, freni on-board e<strong> ponte De Dion<\/strong> posteriore, per una perfetta distribuzione dei pesi, quindi per una migliore tenuta di strada. Senza dubbio il drive-train pi\u00f9 sofisticato mai realizzato per una berlina.<\/p>\n<p>E\u2019 proprio la scelta tecnica del De Dion che influisce sulla decisione di chiamare \u201cAlfetta\u201d il nuovo modello: anche la monoposto di F.1 159, Campione del Mondo di F.1, soprannominata \u201cAlfetta\u201d, adottava il ponte \u201cDe Dion\u201d. Alcune soluzioni stilistico-tecniche adottate sono innovative: paraurti con rivestimento di resina, plancia di materiali sintetici <em>(foto 3.15)<\/em>, spoiler di coda sul bordo del bagagliaio <em>(foto 3.16)<\/em>. La vettura al posteriore e sul volante<strong> non presenta lo Stemma Alfa Romeo<\/strong> ma solo la scritta in stampatello maiuscolo. Testimonial d\u2019eccezione della Nuova Giulietta \u00e8 <strong>Niki Lauda<\/strong>, celebre campione di F.1, nel 1978 al volante della Brabham-Alfa <em>(foto 3.17)<\/em>. La Giulietta va a soddisfare la clientela Alfa Romeo, e quella di conquista, che attendeva una sostituta della Giulia, senza voler impegnarsi per un modello pi\u00f9 grande, cio\u00e8 l\u2019Alfetta.<\/p>\n<p>La \u201clinea a cuneo\u201d arriva nel momento in cui a Milano comincia il boom dell\u2019industria della moda: <strong>Fiorucci allestisce una Giulietta<\/strong> secondo il suo stile scioccante e controcorrente <em>(foto 3.18)<\/em>, una vera e propria provocazione, presentata nel 1978 al Museo Storico di Arese.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_3,1_3,1_3&#8243;
