Buona lettura&#8230;\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Un ossimoro di successo : the Eighties\u00a0 (parte 4)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nel biennio <strong>1984-\u201985<\/strong> la Casa del Biscione sostituisce il binomio Alfetta e Giulietta con \u201c<strong>Alfa 90<\/strong>\u201d <em>(foto 4.1)<\/em> e \u201c<strong>Alfa 75<\/strong>\u201d <em>(foto 4.2)<\/em> (rispettivamente \u201cK2\u201d e \u201cK1\u201d, secondo codifica tecnica interna all\u2019Alfa): le due nuove vetture &#8211; realizzate in una fase \u201cfrugale\u201d dell\u2019Azienda &#8211; rappresentano due carry-over, al di sotto delle aspettative la prima, di successo la seconda, che traghettano l\u2019Alfa Romeo nei successivi anni \u201990.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Alfa 90, il nome fa riferimento all\u2019 \u201c<strong>Alfa per gli anni Novanta<\/strong>\u201d, esordisce prima al Salone di Parigi e poi a quello di Torino del novembre 1984, \u00e8 disegnata da<strong> Bertone<\/strong> <em>(foto 4.3)<\/em>, che si sforza di realizzare una vettura che presenti spunti nuovi, nonostante il vincolo dell\u2019utilizzo di componenti strutturali ed estetiche dell\u2019Alfetta.<\/p>\n<p>Il carrozziere torinese fa un ottimo lavoro, riuscendo a dotare la 90 di una sua <strong>personalit\u00e0<\/strong>, e i tecnici di Arese sfoderano una buona dote di concreta<strong> creativit\u00e0<\/strong>: lo spoiler frontale mobile <em>(foto 4.4)<\/em>, la strumentazione digitale al top di gamma <em>(foto 4.5)<\/em>, un bel turbo diesel moderno ed efficiente. Al vertice <em>(foto 4.6)<\/em> viene proposto il \u201cV6\u201d 2,5 litri: per la prima volta in Alfa si sforano i due litri di cilindrata adottando un sei cilindri nel segmento-Alfetta. L\u2019anno successivo il V6 arriva nella classe due litri, con due obiettivi: proporre un motore di frazionamento maggiore ma non gravato dal fisco e, dal punto di vista tecnico, un sistema di iniezione elettronica (\u201cCEM\u201d) progettato dalla stessa Alfa Romeo.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_4,1_4,1_4,1_4&#8243; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Alfa 90 all&#8217;Arco della Pace<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Sul mercato italiano l\u2019Alfa 90 si trova a dover fronteggiare una concorrente riapparsa sulla scena, dopo anni di incertezze, con una proposta moderna e convincente: la Lancia Thema.<\/p>\n<p>La Thema ha un\u2019impostazione moderna, dimensioni pi\u00f9 elevate della \u201c90\u201d, uno stile by Italdesign, abitabilit\u00e0 maggiore, sconfina nel segmento superiore ma non ha la stessa sofisticazione tecnica della berlina milanese, in particolare <strong>il \u201cV6\u201d di Torino<\/strong> (anzi, francese, visto che \u00e8 un \u201cPRV\u201d, Peugeot-Renault-Volvo) non regge il confronto con quello dell\u2019Alfa Romeo.<\/p>\n<p>Le immagini istituzionali dell\u2019Alfa 90 la vedono ritratta a Milano, anche nella tradizionale foto di rito davanti all\u2019<strong>Arco della Pace<\/strong> che ha visto posare quasi tutti i nuovi modelli del Portello, davanti agli edifici della \u201cFiera di Milano\u201d, proprio a voler sottolineare la dinamicit\u00e0 e il respiro internazionale del capoluogo lombardo e, soprattutto, perch\u00e9 l\u2019Alfa Romeo ha sempre avuto un legame strettissimo con la citt\u00e0 <em>(foto 4.7)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Alfa 90 chiude il suo ciclo di vita commerciale nel 1987 dopo <strong>56.500 unit\u00e0 prodotte<\/strong>, numero limitato anche dalla cannibalizzazione interna da parte della pi\u00f9 giovane Alfa 75, e lascer\u00e0 il posto alla nuovissima \u201c164\u201d <em>(foto 4.8)<\/em> che ne raccoglier\u00e0 in parte il testimone e sar\u00e0 un modello di ampio successo.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row padding_mobile=&#8221;on&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span data-contrast=\"auto\">La fedelt\u00e0 al Marchio<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Nella primavera del 1985 \u00e8 la volta della sostituta della Giulietta (che termina con 380.000 unit\u00e0 prodotte), cio\u00e8 la \u201c75\u201d, denominata cos\u00ec per celebrare i <strong>settantacinque anni della Casa Milanese<\/strong> <em>(foto 4.9)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Alfa 75 ha una parentela ancora pi\u00f9 stretta con la vettura di cui prende il posto, e anche qui al vertice il motore a sei cilindri (160 cv). I componenti condivisi con la Giulietta sono parecchi, ma la 75 \u00e8 un <strong>carry-over di successo<\/strong>: linea spigolosa e molto personale <em>(foto 4.10)<\/em>, gruppi ottici a trapezio <em>(foto 4.11)<\/em>, modanatura a contrasto che percorre la linea di cintura <em>(foto 4.12)<\/em>, bagagliaio ampio.<\/p>\n<p>Le portiere sono le stesse della Giulietta <em>(foto 4.13)<\/em>, ma i tecnici e gli stilisti di Arese sono bravi a mimetizzarle e assieme ad altri elementi comuni, la vettura viene percepita diversa (e nuova) dal pubblico. Rispetto alla \u201c90\u201d, la \u201c75\u201d ha successo e conferma<strong> il fenomeno della fedelt\u00e0 al Marchio<\/strong>, grande patrimonio dell\u2019Alfa Romeo: gran parte dei clienti della Giulietta passa alla 75 e chi pu\u00f2, prova il V6.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row padding_mobile=&#8221;on&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Alfa 75 al di l\u00e0 dell&#8217;Atlantico &#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>L\u2019Alfa 75 \u00e8 protagonista del mercato anche <strong>al di l\u00e0 dell\u2019Atlantico<\/strong>: la \u201cMilano\u201d, cos\u00ec come viene denominata la versione USA, che in realt\u00e0 \u00e8 un modello che beneficia di molte modifiche per essere distribuita in Nord America, quasi un\u2019altra macchina, si aggiunge a \u201cSpider\u201d e \u201cGTV 6\u201d negli showroom dei dealer negli States e nel 1986, anno del debutto, la consociata \u201cAlfa Romeo Inc\u201d registra il record di immatricolazione annuo con quasi 8.000 vetture.<\/p>\n<p>Il servizio fotografico ufficiale viene scattato a <strong>New York<\/strong>, nel normale traffico cittadino, in cui una Milano Rosso Alfa sfreccia nella Grande Mela a Manhattan, davanti alle twin towers, sul ponte di Verrazzano. L\u2019Alfa Romeo organizza un tour che vede la Milano raggiungere parecchie localit\u00e0 negli Stati Uniti che si chiamano \u201cMilano\u201d, come la vettura e come la sua citt\u00e0 natale. La presentazione stampa invece \u00e8 organizzata a Phoenix, in Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Alfa 75 non pu\u00f2 essere estranea, per sua vocazione spirituale, alle corse, per cui nel 1987 vengono prodotti sulle linee di Arese i 500 esemplari della \u201c<strong>75 Turbo Evoluzione<\/strong>\u201d <em>(foto 4.16)<\/em>, necessari per l\u2019omologazione nel Gruppo A del campionato Europeo Turismo: dopo i successi della GTV6 2.5, ora tocca alla 75 sovralimentata.<\/p>\n<p>Nel 1992 l\u2019ultima 75, una \u201c1.6 IE\u201d in Rosso Alfa, lascia la linea produttiva di Arese (oggi si trova presso il museo Alfa Romeo) dopo 387.000 esemplari prodotti.
