gigantesca &#8211; lasciata dall\u2019Alfa 75, un compito arduo ed estremo.<strong>\u00a0La 155 \u00e8 figlia di ampie sinergie con altri modelli del gruppo Fiat<\/strong>, di cui l\u2019Alfa Romeo fa parte dal novembre 1986: piattaforma, sospensioni, struttura della scocca, portiere (foto 5.2), interni sono in condivisione ma l\u2019elemento che scatena il dibattito tra gli appassionati \u00e8 il passaggio alla trazione anteriore.<\/p>\n<p>Anche se la versione al top della gamma, la \u201cQ4\u201d (foto 5.3), \u00e8 a <strong>trazione integrale<\/strong>, non riesce tuttavia a conquistare il cuore dei sostenitori dell\u2019Alfa perch\u00e9 il motore \u00e8 quello della \u201cLancia Delta Integrale\u201d. Ma \u00e8 l\u2019estetica (by I.De.A. Institute) (foto 5.4), seguita da finiture non all\u2019altezza, il tallone d\u2019achille della 155: le sinergie sono eccessivamente vincolanti, la vettura nel complesso non sembra curata, \u00e8 quasi \u201cdimessa\u201d (foto 5.5). Con il restyling del 1995, che include l\u2019arrivo dei nuovi motori \u201cTwin Spark 16v\u201d, la 155 prende una boccata d\u2019ossigeno, ma non centra gli obiettivi e &#8211; per ora &#8211;<strong> i tradizionali e fedeli clienti Alfa rimangono freddi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019unico ambito in cui l\u2019Alfa 155 ha successo, al di sopra delle aspettative, sono le <strong>competizioni per vetture turismo<\/strong>: su tutte la vittoria del \u201cDTM\u201d (Deutsche Touren-wagen Meisterschaft) nel 1993 da parte della \u201c155 V6 Ti\u201d dell\u2019Alfa Corse (foto 5.6) guidata da Nicola Larini. La 156 (foto 5.8) riaccende l\u2019interesse per l\u2019Alfa Romeo, la clientela tradizionale, dopo la tiepida accoglienza che ha riservato alla 155, si entusiasma davanti a questa berlina sportiva che incarna perfettamente lo spirito Alfa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Il design \u00e8 un <strong>capolavoro firmato dal Centro Stile Alfa Romeo di Arese<\/strong>, guidato da <strong>Walter de Silva<\/strong>: la carrozzeria e gli interni interpretano in chiave moderna gli stilemi delle berline Alfa, lo stile complessivo \u00e8 pieno di riferimenti e citazioni (attenzione, <strong>non \u00e8 retro-design<\/strong>): lo scudetto con le feritoie (foto 5.9) e la trama interna (rispettivamente 8C 2300 \u201cMonza\u201d e Alfetta 158-159) (foto 5.10); la \u201ccometa\u201d sul cofano (Spider \u201cDuetto\u201d) (foto 5.11); la maniglia laterale di alluminio a pulsante (Giulia) (foto 5.12), posta esattamente al centro tra le due linee della fiancata; i cerchi concavi a fori (33.2 litri) (foto 5.13); il lunotto avvolgente (Giulietta) (foto 5.14); il volante in legno con i due strumenti sporgenti (foto 5.15) e gli altri indicatori sul tunnel centrale (1750). Spark\u201d <strong>d\u00e0 la birra (bavarese\u2026) alla rivale<\/strong>, il 4 cilindri a doppia accensione a 16 valvole italiano stacca il 6 cilindri tedesco, le qualit\u00e0 stradali del Biscione sono una spanna sopra quelle della rivale.<\/p>\n<p>Anche in pista, prima nel \u201cSuperTurismo\u201d, poi nell\u2019\u201dETCC\u201d e \u201cWTCC\u201d le 156 ufficiali sono subito vincenti (foto 5.19), in primis rispetto a BMW: la berlina sportiva di Arese <strong>miete successi a ripetizione<\/strong>, ancora pi\u00f9 numerosi di quelli della precedente 155, con <strong>Nicola Larini, Fabrizio Giovanardi e Gabriele Tarquini<\/strong> come migliori interpreti della vettura.
