At the Triennale with Design Museums

27 October, 2020

The Fratelli Cozzi Museum will participate in "I PLACES OF THE PROJECT", three days of meetings at the Triennale with stories, projections and an exhibition to be held on 20, 21, 22.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Circuito Lombardo dei Musei del Design, the Fratelli Cozzi Museum will be present, with an iconic object, at the Triennale di Milano for the exhibition "I luoghi del progetto" (The places of the project) which will take place on November 20th, 21st and 22nd.

An articulated event involving twenty-seven museums, archives and design studios-museums of the Lombardo Musei Design Circuit that represent excellence in the field of industrial design and have been part of this network for two years. The event is organized by CS&L Consorzio Sociale in collaboration with Magutdesign, the support of Regione Lombardia, the contribution of Fondazione Cariplo and the hospitality of Fondazione La Triennale di Milano.

Speaking of curiosity, perhaps not everyone knows that Senator Antonio Bernocchi, who has done a lot for the city of Legnano, also has a special bond with the Milan Triennale. With his brothers Michele and Andrea, in fact, aware of the importance that design would have for Italian industries, he donated five million lire to the City of Milan in 1930 for the construction of the building of the Triennale International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts and Modern Architecture, which was inaugurated in 1933. The building was called "Palazzo Bernocchi".

Legnano and Milan, renew their bond in the name of design in the events review "I luoghi del progetto": a journey through the country of design told in 18 meters of images, photos and texts tell museums, archives and museum-studios of the Circuito Lombardo Musei Design, creating connections with the territory and places of culture.

"while we were designing, we were against the intrusiveness of design, we were looking for the minimum stroke that would serve the function; we wanted to go so far as to say: less can't be done." Achille Castiglioni
