CAR CARE: MARCELLO MEREU PRESENTS HIS BOOK

July 27, 2023

On Sept. 24, Marcello Mereu will present his book "Car Care," a handbook for keeping your car in top shape.

Do you know Marcello Mereu?

Marcello is the car detailer who has revolutionized the car detailing industry by turning it into an art and freeing it from over-reliance on chemicals.

In 2016 he began his journey by questioning standard methods applied uncritically to car surfaces and created a new professional figure called "haute detailer," based on manual dexterity and in-depth analysis of every detail to achieve the best aesthetic recovery.

Marcello has recently published the book, "Car care. Handbook for Car Care." Giorgio Nada Publisher

The book provides the reader with advice for an informed choice of tools and techniques for car care, considering the culture of manual labor. The book's vision is based on chemistry in the service of people and surfaces, the use of materials, techniques, and the enhancement of manual skills as a primary aspect.

The author, aware of the importance of sustainability, has also studied and put into practice the "one-liter wash," a method dedicated to lightly soiled cars that limits water use without compromising results.

Marcello in his book not only dispenses tips on how to pull cars to a shine with ad hoc techniques and products, but focuses especially on perhaps the most important element: the love, passion, and attention the owner should put into making every detail of his car shine.

The good news is that Marcello Mereu will present his book at the Museum! He will be interviewed by Carlo Di Giusto, a well-known journalist and dear friend of the Museum.
Carlo points out, "This book, on closer inspection, offers many more lessons than it contains regarding car care."

CARING: IS A VERY IMPORTANT VALUE IN OUR MUSEUM!

We have already told you that in 2023 we decided to invest in a project to take care of all people with disabilities, physical and psychological.

Therefore, we have activated various tools for full accessibility of the Museum for people with disabilities so that they can enjoy all the content there. These include: tactile tours for the blind or visually impaired public; LIS interpretation and subtitling of films for deaf users, as well as the purchase of a wheelchair for access for people with reduced mobility with accompanying staff.
Fundamental then is the training of museum staff to know how to accommodate all people with disabilities and tours designed specifically for people with mental disabilities or autism.

This event will be in support of this project, and you too can contribute to it. Find out more below about how to reserve your spot and show your generosity!
