ClockeD. This is not an escape room.

September 29, 2023

A playful experience discovering Italian design and its protagonists.

It is not a game but it is also not an exhibition. So what is it!

It is an experience about the world of Design. Clocked revolutionizes the way we explore and understand the world of design and its important people.

Organized by the Circuito Lombardo Musei Design (with which we are proudly associated) with the support of the Fondazione Cariplo and in collaboration with theADI Design Museum, this exhibition-game offers a playful and engaging experience.

From Oct. 4 to 29, 2023, ADI's basement will be transformed into a playground, with sixteen Italian design icons serving as landmarks.

The public will participate in an engaging investigative journey, solving puzzles and unraveling mysteries to uncover the history of Italian design. Plus... discover mystery objects in participating museums.

An innovative idea to engage the public, especially the younger public, a very important goal for our Museum!

What will be the object to be found at the Cozzi Brothers Museum?

The playbill for Clocked

The initiative's curator, Marta Palvarini, has developed a game scheme that follows an ideal timeline, guiding players through the history of Italian design objects. To complete the journey, players must correctly answer all the puzzles, which will reveal the next stage of the journey. During the game, participants (a maximum of 10) will have to look for numerous hidden, sometimes deceptive clues at each station. They will also have the opportunity to go back, closely observe and touch the clues, and interact with objects.

The goal of the project is precisely to promote the collective experience of the museum, offering an alternative to solitary, individual experiences and thus breaking the concept of passive enjoyment often associated with museum visits.

Along with our Museum, the entities involved will be Piero Bottoni Archives, SDF Historical Archives and SAME Museum, Giancarlo Association Iliprandi, Fondazione Achille Castiglioni, Fondazione Franco Albini, Fondazione Studio Museo Vico Magistretti, Kartell Museo, MAC Museo Arte Contemporanea Lissone, Molteni Museum, Museo Fisogni della Stazione di Servizio, Museo della Macchina per Cucire, MUMAC Museo della Macchina per Caffè di Gruppo Cimbali, Officina Rancilio 1926.

The initiative will run from October 3 to 29, 2023, Monday through Sunday (excluding Friday).
