THE MECHANICS SCHOOL AT THE MUSEUM: WE HOST THE MTS SCHOOL

January 30, 2024

The Museum involved kids attending the MTS school, the specialized training school for Mechanics and Engineers in Motorsport. Here's how it went.

From the day of its founding, we have always regarded the Museum as a beacon in the enhancement of automotive culture and culture in general because of its incredible historical and design treasure.

Culture goes hand in hand with education: in fact, our Friends of Fratelli Cozzi Museum Association embraces the goal of enhancing the culture of science and technology in the world of classic cars, actively involving the younger generation so that they become promoters of Alfa Romeo history.

In this cultural and social adventure, we met an equally passionate partner: the MTS School, among the best schools in Europe for racing mechanics and engineers that aims to find highly specialized professionals for both car and motorcycle racing teams.

At the helm of this educational excellence is Eugenia Capanna, a true benchmark for all motorsport enthusiasts. A former pilot (and star of the event, created by the consulting firm NiEW, dedicated to women in automotive), Eugenia is the brilliant mind behind the MTS School.

Thus was born, from the common passion, from the meeting of two women (Eugenia and our Elisabetta) the idea of this collaboration.

The Museumo_Office

Our partnership with the MTS School is a perfect fusion of past and future. MTS, with its specific training course on classic cars, has joined us in our efforts to preserve the history and mechanics of cars that have marked past eras. After an inspiring tour of our treasured classic cars and archives, we moved on to practice in the new space adjacent to the museum: the "Museumo_Office."

This newly reorganized area is a special place of "doing," equipped with specialized equipment to explore the mechanical and technical side of our fascinating classic cars. Here MTS School students deepened their knowledge, guided by the experience and professionalism of the school's professors.

Together with Eugenia Capanna and the MTS School, our Museum is opening new avenues in promoting culture and making new generations the ambassadors of our history. This collaboration is a significant step in conveying the passion for the classic automobile, bringing young people closer to a historical heritage that is also our future.

We look forward to discovering the first results of this collaboration, which will undoubtedly be exciting. After all, our future is through schools!

What course leaders, faculty, and students say

But what do people who attend MTS or collaborate in teaching think about it?

We have collected their impressions here, enjoy reading!

"Breathing this passion for the Alfa Romeo brand and family history has been wonderful! Definitely a beautiful collaboration was born today to get our kids passionate about these cars and this history. The project is definitely interesting to be able to give our kids both theoretical and operational training. I already have many ideas about it!"

Aaron Papadato - Course Coordinator

"The museum is really very interesting because it also expresses the history of our country. Our boys, who are passionate about mechanics, were also very passionate about this history, which I think is important for their education. I have seen them very involved. This new part of the museum, more dedicated to making, is very important to be able to give them the opportunity to touch these cars and their peculiar characteristics."

Martina Cambiaghi - Student placement manager

"I see this collaboration as perfect. There is everything you need, so much history! It is essential for the kids to understand this history and get a close understanding of how mechanics has changed over the years "

Claudio Papaleo - Lecturer of mechanics and historic cars course

"Beautiful museum. I really enjoyed looking at the up-close details of these cars. Their evolution over the years. I think there can be so many opportunities to learn more and better about classic cars from this collaboration."

Stephen Maximus - Student of the course
