Title
MARRIAGE BETWEEN ART AND AUTOMOBILE
"We affirm that the magnificence of the world has been enriched with a new beauty: the beauty of speed." Filippo Tommaso Marinetti
"The car is female. It has the grace, the slenderness, the liveliness of a seductress." Gabriele d'Annunzio
State Classical High School Cesare Beccaria State Examination A.S 2017/2018
Conclusions
In my opinion, the union between art and the automobile is demonstrated by history and the present, by a fascinating and concrete link, rich in symbolism and expression of human emotions, which does not refer to a simple means of transport but to the ability to evoke and concretize Beauty.

CLASSICAL HIGH SCHOOL CESARE BECCARIA
The Beccaria High School has seen a large number of illustrious students such as Giuseppe Parini, Cesare Cantù, Giovanni Berchet, Carlo Porta, Carlo Cattaneo, Pietro and Alessandro Verri, Camillo Hajech, Emilio De Marchi, Francesco Brioschi, the Forlanini brothers, Delio Tessa, Giuseppe Lazzati and many others. Among the recent ones, just to name a few, Marco Zanuso, Bruno Bozzetto, Sergio Romano, Carlo Castellaneta, Eva Cantarella, Rossana Bossaglia, Ornella Vanoni, Achille Occhetto, Andrea Brambilla (Zuzzurro), Gabriele Salvatores.

ZAGATO
Ever since the foundation of his company in Milan in 1919, Ugo Zagato intended to create a veritable atelier, a tailor's shop dedicated to aircraft and racing cars for the 'made-to-measure' creation of lightweight and aerodynamic bodywork. Today, after almost one hundred years of uninterrupted activity, always in the hands of a family member, the Zagato brand is still synonymous with independence, consistency and the high artistic value of its creations.

A chat with Edoardo
Why did you choose to bring this up for your classical maturity?
"I chose this topic because it seemed innovative, not trivial, and it reconciled my passion for cars and some of the paths I took at school.
Your thesis started from two illustrious quotations "We affirm that the magnificence of the world has been enriched with a new beauty: the beauty of speed" by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and "The Automobile is feminine. This has the grace, the slenderness, the vivacity of a seductress" by Gabriele d'Annunzio. After the in-depth examination, can you say that the thesis has been confirmed?
"I would say yes, I had further confirmation of this after meeting Andrea Zagato and Paolo Di Taranto, who have repeatedly stressed how the car, as they conceive it, can be considered an art form. It is therefore not a risk to say that the union between art and the automobile is demonstrated by history and the present, by a fascinating and concrete bond, rich in symbolism and expression of human emotions, which does not refer to a simple means of transport but to the ability to evoke and concretize Beauty".
